Three simple steps
The complete workflow stays on this page, from the source image to a finished local download.
Choose a portrait, character image, server icon, or illustration from your device.
Drag and zoom until the important subject stays clear inside both the large circle and compact avatar preview.
Export PNG, WebP, or JPG, then add the saved file through your own Discord profile settings.
Built for the real task
Every control changes the downloaded image. There are no decorative preview buttons, hidden signup gates, or server upload steps.

Keep ears, hair, helmets, and text away from the circular boundary that clips square images.
The same crop controls work for a personal PFP or a clear server mark.
The tool is not affiliated with Discord and never asks for your Discord account or password.
Real output patterns
These language-neutral examples show the kinds of spacing, transparency, and border choices the tool produces.
Check whether the avatar still reads at a small size.
Keep the mark bold and away from the circular edge.
Add contrast without covering the main character.
Discord displays profile pictures as small circles in many parts of the interface. A square source can therefore lose important corners, text, ears, or decorative details. The Discord PFP cropper shows the circular mask before download and adds a compact preview for real-world scale.
Move the main subject toward the center and keep critical details inside the safe area. If the full character must remain visible, switch from Fill circle to Fit full image and choose a background that supports the source.
The editor starts with a practical 512 by 512 preset and also provides 128, 256, 1024, and custom sizes. Discord may resize an uploaded image, so a clean square master with a centered circular composition is more useful than guessing a tiny final display size.
Use PNG for transparent corners or a crisp graphic. WebP can be smaller. JPG works for a full square background but cannot store transparency. This tool does not preserve animated GIF frames in the first release.
A user avatar should remain recognizable in chat at a small size. A server icon often needs one bold mark and strong contrast. Matching PFP sets need consistent zoom and border width across each image. Use the same output size and settings when preparing a set.
This page crops one image at a time. It does not split matching PFP artwork or create a Discord banner. Those are different workflows and should not be implied by a generic download button.
A narrow indigo or gradient ring can separate an avatar from Discord’s dark interface. The border is drawn inside the final canvas and scales with the output. Watch the compact preview to make sure it does not make the character too small.
For a cleaner server mark, use a solid border that matches the community palette. For portraits and art, a subtle gradient can provide contrast without altering the source image.

Yes. Use Fit full image for a complete server mark or Fill circle for edge-to-edge art. Keep text large enough to remain readable as a small icon.
No. It only creates a local download. You decide whether to upload that file through your own Discord account settings.
The first release does not preserve animation. Animated input is treated as a still image, and the export is PNG, WebP, or JPG.
